Columbia House - New Database

A Boyle Software team is currently creating a centralized product database and a browser-based entry tool to input all products. Eventually all product-related systems such as the web, Columbia House's inventory, the warehouse and all reporting and ordering tools will use this database. We are also providing feeds to existing applications to ensure that downstream systems continue to work as we phase out legacy systems.

We are using weblogic application server, DB2 database and Java J2EE architecture with the following open source components ('spring' framework, 'hibernate' for persistence layer, 'maven' for project build/management, 'JUnit' for unit testing, 'TWiki' for project collaboration, 'Eclipse' IDE, 'Squirrel' database tool, 'CVS' version control, to name a few).
