On Saturday July 14th 2007 Long Island's Huntington Bay will be home to not only its regular annual 5K open water swim race, but also the USMS 10K National Championships.
Continuing its support for open water swimming, Boyle Software is happy to announce its technology help for these events.
"The event this year will have a national audience," says Bea Hartigan who runs the events. She continues, "we think its important to have a formal branding and information publishing plan for this year and coming years." To this end Boyle Software has created a new logo, web site, email and and other supporting materials.
Bea adds, "we also have age group events for the USA Swimming portion..."
The distance is in yards because the two piers to be used are 500 yards apart. The first race will start at 8am, the rest at 10min intervals. There is a fallback date of July 15th 2007 in case of severe weather. The title is the Fran Schnarr Memorial - Metropolitan Swimming Championships".
