In addition to personally attempting the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim (MIMS) this year, a 28.5 mile swiw around Manhattan, Dan Boyle is donating time and Boyle Software technology resources to the Manhattan Island Foundation (MIF), a non-profit group that puts on a series of swims around the city to encourage the ongoing recovery of the city's rivers and help underwrite the city's Learn to Swim program.
Boyle Software took over hosting of the MIF web sites in March and is working together with Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) to implement an entirely new web site, including online event registrations, credit card payments, better content management, streamlined administration functionality and better integration with race timers for speedy results postings.
Technologies for this account include Microsoft's IIS, ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL Server, Windows 2000 Server, CSS, SSL, php, merchant account services and others.
The Manhattan Island Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that brings the sport of marathon swimming to New York City's unique waterways. Through our varied races and the programs we support, the foundation celebrates the ongoing recovery of our city's rivers. Our signature event is the annual Manhattan Island Marathon Swim, one of the most important open-water marathons held on an annual basis anywhere in the world. http://www.nycswim.org/
