In the heydays of Internet Explorer 4 and Netscape 4.5, I used to get a coffee and cheese danish every day together with Chandler Tuttle and Tony Tharae at the Rockefeller Center coffee station while we were working on websites. We talked about font tags, transparent gifs and sometimes we talked about movies, too. Tony and Chandler even camped in front of a theatre one night to get tickets for the premiere of Star Wars. Although I told them that that is daft thing to do they generously gave me one of the tickets they got. They were these kind of pals. And then they left Boyle Software in order to make films.
Switch forward to Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 7: I am still cursing IE for its lack of support of web standards, while Chandler and Tony are walking the red carpets. 2081 - Everyone Will Finally Be Equal will be released this year. Well done! Go watch the trailer (it works in IE 7, no worries).
"Based on the short story Harrison Bergeron by celebrated author Kurt Vonnegut, 2081 depicts a dystopian future in which, thanks to the 212th Amendment to the Constitution and the unceasing vigilance of the United States Handicapper General, everyone is finally equal... The strong wear weights, the beautiful wear masks and the intelligent wear earpieces that fire off loud noises to keep them from taking unfair advantage of their brains. It is a poetic tale of triumph and tragedy about a broken family, a brutal government, and an act of defiance that changes everything."
