Supporting carbon dioxide reduction projects

Boyle Software just renewed our commitment to TerraPass for 2010, supporting clean energy and other projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

At Boyle Software we believe in attention to detail, and that a bunch of small details add up to one large, positive affect. We recycle paper, glass, plastics and metals in our office. We compost organic waste. We use eco-friendly cleaning solvents and soaps. We use CFLs, timed temperature controls and do our best to minimize electicity consumption during on and off hours.

For the third year now we have partnered with TerraPass to sponsor clean energy and carbon reduction projects that result in a verified, measurable reduction in carbon emissions. We support clean energy generated by wind farms which don't use any fossil fuels. We support projects that help capture and destroy the methane, a powerful global warming gas - about 21 times as powerful as carbon dioxide.

Our contribution may be small compared to the scope of the threat that global warming imposes on our planet. But we do what we can do and we are happy that in TerraPass we have found a partner who we can trust.
