Website redesign for Oman Tourism

24 Nov, 2009

The Sultanate of Oman is a beautiful country offering vast desert plains, mountain ranges and tropical beaches. It is the home of leopards, eagles, turtles and other fascinating wildlife. In order to present its history and cultural heritage more efficiently the Oman Ministry of Tourism asked Boyle Software to redesign its current website and code the new HTML templates.

Oman websiteThe new website, which is scheduled to go live in early 2010, will be more user-friendly, allowing users to quickly get to the information they are looking for. Our design concept thus focused on the goal to present the site’s content in an unobtrusive manner and at the same time provide an elegant and easy-to-navigate new home for the ministry’s articles and magnificent photography. We created efficient HTML templates with a CSS-based layout which allows the content to be displayed in right-to-left as well as left-to-right oriented languages.

Mark Twain wrote, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”
